In our proposal for an interior tower within the glass cube, we evokes New York City’s endless landscape of construction netting with a design for an open building enveloped entirely in natural rope. The rope tower is a “light” building- it appears to be in an incomplete state while in fact it is the visual product of a truly “breathing” builing. The rope net allows the building to be naturally ventilated into an atrium in wormer weather. The wool felt shads are thermal buffers that can be drawn in colder weather.
